HOW TO: DRESS FOR YOUR OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTY

Holiday parties spell two things: fun and stress. I figured we could tackle one of the most important parties you'll attend this season, the one that could catapult your career to the next level, the office holiday party; also known to single gals looking to settle down as THE party, second only to the party where bachelorettes may meet their future Mr. Forevers. I'm told I'm a romantic. I digress. Here are some tips on what ladies should/can wear to their office holiday parties. You may shop these holiday looks and more curated by me through StW's page on Lyst.

For i-bankers, lawyers, consultants and all those working in business conservative workplaces office rules still apply. Keep your décolletage covered. If you choose to wear a dress or skirt, keep it simple, classic and at or no more than six inches above the knee. Of course, mid-calf dresses and skirts are options as well.
For professors, television producers, book publishers working in business casual environments spice up your shoes and wear funky accessories; the rules above apply. (Click images below for larger view.)
For Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, fashion editors, and art dealers hooray! You have the most latitude. You may be more flamboyant in your dress, but remember to keep balance in mind; follow Coco Chanel's advice and remove one accessory before leaving your home and keep your chest covered.
